The financial director at Wright Rose-Innes, Graeme deals with all financial aspects of the firm, including budgeting and compliance. A large percentage of his practice relates to matters of a corporate and commercial nature, both in advisory and commercial drafting capacity, as well as litigation and dispute resolution.
Prior to studying law, Graeme obtained a B.Com degree from the University of the Witwatersrand, and more recently, a certificate in financial management from the University of Johannesburg. Graeme has been with Wright Rose-Innes since 1992, firstly as a candidate attorney, until his admission as an attorney in 1994, and becoming an associate. In 1995, he was appointed as the youngest ever director of Wright Rose-Innes.
Graeme has formed many long term, mutually beneficial relationships with numerous individual and corporate clients over the years, due to the efficient and honest manner with which he deals with matters. Graeme always seeks to provide his clients with the best possible practical and sensible solutions to their commercial and corporate issues, within the legal framework applicable. He strongly believes the importance of knowing his clients’ business models, ethics, policies and methodologies very well, to enable him to meet and exceed their expectations.
Graeme is a highly self-motivated and self-disciplined person, not only in the work realm, but also in his private life. He has achieved a number of selections, and national and provincial awards for squash, triathlon and duathlon. Among completing eight Comrades Marathons, and two full Ironman triathlons, Graeme has also completed ultra marathons, half Ironman triathlons, shorter distance triathlons, and numerous cycle events. Graeme is also an avid snow skier, and travels overseas annually with a group of friends to satisfy his passion for this sport.
Graeme is a committed family man, whose wife, Reneé, is also a director of Wright Rose-Innes. Together, with their two adult daughters, they enjoy travelling, and can be found either hiking or viewing wild-life.
